kowaiusagi@gmail.com Bioi am trying out this new account+ thing. so i have ads here o_O the current theme has to do with this weird pig-thing that's linked to from some official hide site. yeah, don't ask me, it seemed like a good idea at the time. and the stuff in the journal title is a quote from the 人格ラヂオ song 深い森の中のさなぎ; it rather fits my mood as of late.
i'm getting ready to go off to get my PhD in Asian Studies at NYU, while attempting to keep my sanity. まだニホンに帰りたいのに
i wanted a simpler name but those are all taken, of course. so i went with something complicated that i knew no one would have. the name is 'hane no nai kotori' (羽のない小鳥), which is japanese for 'bird without wings'. i am quoting a song by the now defunct indies jrock band 'core the child'.
羽の無い小鳥よ 何故に窓辺に
それでもなお飛ぼうとするのは何故？
教えてよ
Bird without wings, why are you at my window,
Even so, why do you keep trying to fly?
